Bengaluru-based Aishwarya Pise has won the FIM World Cup title in the women's category. With this, Aishwarya has become the first racer to win the World Cup in motorsport. He achieved this historic success in the final round of the championship on Sunday. She also finished second in the junior category.
Aishwarya won the first round played in Dubai. She finished third in the next round played in Portugal, fifth in the round played in Spain and fourth in Hungary. Together, they put a total of 65 points in their account, which was just four points more than Rita Vieira of Portugal.
Aishwarya said, "This is the most difficult phase of my life, but I believed in myself and I was committed to return on the bike after six months. So winning the World Cup is a big thing for me. I will try to improve my performance from the experience here.
