The third ODI of the three-match series between India and the West Indies is being played at Queens Park Oval in Port of Spain. The match has to be stopped due to rain twice in the match. The West Indies currently score 158 runs for two wickets in 22 overs and if the West Indies did not get a chance to bat now, then Duckworth Louis Method could have given India a target of 194 runs in 20 overs. Currently the match has been reduced to 35–35 overs. In such a situation, the West Indies will have to play 10 overs and India will get the target accordingly.
West Indies won the toss and decided to bat first. Opener Chris Gayle and Evin Lewis got the team off to a great start. Both added 115 runs in 10.5 overs for the first wicket. Louis was dismissed for 43 off 29 balls. Louis hit five fours and three sixes. Chris Gayle, playing his last ODI innings, hit 72 runs off 41 balls. Gayle hit eight fours and five sixes.
When the match stalled for the second time due to rain, Shai Hope was playing 19 off 40 balls and Shimron Hetmyer was 18 off 23 balls. One wicket from India has been taken by Yuzvendra Chahal and one wicket by Khalil Ahmed.
