Sri Lanka vs New Zealand Colombo test BJ Watling and Colin de Grandhomme score half centuries as Blackcaps take 138 runs lead on day four stump

On the basis of the first innings on the fourth day, they have taken a lead of 138 runs so far. By the end of the day's game on Sunday, New Zealand have scored 382 runs, losing five wickets. Wicketkeeper-batsmen BJ Watling 81 and Colin de Grandhom 83 are at the crease. Earlier, the hosts had won the toss and scored 244 runs in their first innings with the help of Dhananjay D'Silva's strong century. The hosts are leading 1-0 in the series. Sri Lanka won the first Test.

Latham and Watling started playing ahead of Saturday's score and batting brilliantly gave the visiting team an edge. Together, they shared a 143-run partnership for the fifth wicket. Batting strong, Latham was dismissed as the fifth wicket at a total of 269. All-rounder Grandhom batted aggressively and combined with Watling to take the score to 350. During this time Watling has completed his 18th and Grandhomme has completed his sixth half-century. Dilruwan Perera took the most three wickets from Sri Lanka.
