Khushboo Gupta, a resident of Pratapgarh and Lucknow sports hostel, has done wonders. He has won a gold medal in the 5 km crosscountry by performing brilliantly at the World Police and Fire Games in Chengdu, China. Khushbu Gupta's father Ram Asare has a shoe-slipper shop on the footpath in Dahilamau, Pratapgarh.
Khushbu won the 1500m and 3000m steeplechase gold medals at the All India Police Athletics Championships in Delhi this year. He has received the award for this Golden Double as a selection in the Indian Police Team. Police players from all over the world take part in it. Khushboo is the first female athlete from Uttar Pradesh to participate in the World Police Games this time. In Chengdu, Khushboo won the gold medal by taking 21 minutes in the 5 km crosscountry race on Monday.
Six years ago, Ram Asare admitted his daughter Khushboo to the Lucknow Sports Hostel simply because she would get enough food. Education will be free. But the fragrance of the fifth number in eight seats of Ram Aasre showed such a miracle that she not only became a champion athlete of the national level but also got the job of a soldier in the previous Saas Armed Services Force.
The coach of Khushboo's runner hostel climbed under the supervision of Bimala Singh and BK Bajpai. She has been a number of junior national champions. He won the 3000m steeple chase gold medal with a new record in the Vijayawada Junior National Championship.
The same Khushboo also won many national level and all India level crosscountry races and marathon races. She became the country's number one runner in the 3000 meter steeplechase in the Junior National Rankings released this year. Khushboo is very happy to win two gold medals at the World Police Games. Right now she has to participate in 500 meter run and 3000 meter, 1500 meter steeplechase as well.
